Overview 

Viral Hepatitis Disease is an infection that causes inflammation of the liver, most commonly due to hepatitis viruses. It can range from a mild, short-term illness to a serious, long-term condition that leads to liver damage.

The most common types are Hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E, each with different modes of transmission and severity. Early diagnosis and proper treatment are essential to prevent complications such as liver failure or cirrhosis.

Types of Viral Hepatitis

• Hepatitis A: Usually spread through contaminated food or water
• Hepatitis B: Spread through blood, sexual contact, or from mother to child
• Hepatitis C: Primarily spread through infected blood
• Hepatitis D: Occurs only in people infected with Hepatitis B
• Hepatitis E: Spread through contaminated water

• Abdominal pain (especially in the upper right side)
• Yellowing of skin and eyes (jaundice)
