- He has trained more than 300 doctors from India and abroad in the fields of interventional cardiology and electrophysiology.
- He is also a scientific advisor to various multinational companies incorporated in the USA.
- He has also been awarded the prestigious D.Sc (Honoris Causa) by Punjab University and the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indian Medical Association.
