Wolfram Syndrome is a rare inherited condition characterized by a combination of Diabetes Insipidus, Diabetes Mellitus, Optic Atrophy, and Deafness (DIDMOAD). It affects multiple organs, particularly the endocrine system and nervous system.

Types of Wolfram Syndrome Disease

  • Wolfram Syndrome Type 1 (WFS1): Most common form caused by WFS1 gene mutation
  • Wolfram Syndrome Type 2 (WFS2): Rare form with additional symptoms like bleeding disorders and ulcers

  • Early-onset diabetes mellitus
