Overview

Vascular Dementia Disease is a type of dementia caused by reduced blood flow to the brain, leading to impaired memory, thinking, and cognitive functions. It is the second most common cause of dementia after Alzheimer’s disease.

This condition often develops after a stroke or due to chronic damage to small blood vessels in the brain. The progression can be gradual or stepwise, depending on the underlying cause. Early diagnosis and management are important to slow disease progression and improve quality of life.
