Overview 

Uterine Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in or around the uterus. Also known as leiomyomas, fibroids are very common in women of reproductive age and vary in size, number, and location.

While many fibroids do not cause symptoms, some may lead to heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and fertility issues. Treatment depends on the size, symptoms, and overall health of the patient.

Types of Uterine Fibroids Disease

• Intramural Fibroids: Develop within the uterine wall
• Submucosal Fibroids: Grow into the uterine cavity
• Subserosal Fibroids: Extend outside the uterus
• Pedunculated Fibroids: Attached to the uterus by a stalk
