Overview

Uterine Prolapse Disease occurs when the uterus slips down from its normal position into the vaginal canal due to weakening of the pelvic floor muscles and ligaments. It is more common in women who have had multiple vaginal deliveries or are post-menopausal.

The condition can range from mild to severe and may affect daily activities, urinary and bowel functions, and overall quality of life. With proper diagnosis and treatment, uterine prolapse can be effectively managed.

  • Mild (First-Degree) Prolapse: Uterus descends slightly into the vagina
  • Moderate (Second-Degree) Prolapse: Uterus reaches the vaginal opening
