Warts are small, non-cancerous growths on the skin caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). The virus enters the body through tiny cuts or breaks in the skin, leading to the formation of warts.

Warts are common and can appear on different parts of the body, including hands, feet, face, and genital areas. While most warts are harmless, some types, especially those caused by certain HPV strains, may require medical attention.
